Q01: How can I book a chauffeur driven car?

Q02: Do you open at the weekends?
A02: Yes. We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Q03: Do you have a special charge for weekends or bank holidays?
A03: Our fares are the same for weekdays, weekends and bank holidays, except for the following 5 days: 1st of January, 24th, 25th, 26th, and 31st of December.

Q04: Do your prices include VAT or is VAT extra?
A04: Because we have both business and personal users amongst our clients, we always quote both the net and VAT inclusive prices. Many business users want to know the net price before the VAT is added, as they may claim it back.

Q05: Can I get a discount?
A05: Yes, even though our fares are very competitive, we have different discount schemes, please enquire by contacting our office.

Q06: I will visit the U.K. for sightseeing or business trip. Do I have to pay V.A.T.?
A06: Yes.

Q07: What happens if I cancel my booking?
A07: There will be a charge, depending on your booking.

Q08: Can I make a booking on short notice?
A08: Yes, as long as we have available chauffeurs and vehicles, we can accept your booking and dispatch a car immediately.

Q09: If my plane is delayed or arrived earlier, will the chauffeur be there waiting for me?
A09: Before dispatching the chauffeur, we always monitor your ETA using the most advanced techniques for long haul flights. For short haul flights, the chauffeur will be at the arrivals gate on the ETA time informed 90 minutes before.

Q10: How will my guest recognise the chauffeur?
A10: Our chauffeurs are very experienced at meeting clients at arrivals. He will be positioned so that he is clearly visible and will be holding a clear name board with your guest’s name clearly printed in the language you prefer.

Q11: What would happen if my guest or myself are delayed in Customs or Immigration?
A11: If the delay is exceeds 90 minutes, the chauffeur will first enquire at Customs and Immigration desk for any delays, then inform our office which will do all they can to find out the reason for delay and contact yourselves, or your office for further instructions.

Q12: What can I do to reduce the waiting time charges for airport pick up?
A12: You may order your car from the airport 30, 45 or even 60 minutes after ETA.

Q13: How long does the journey take from the airport to London City?
A13: It takes around 45 minutes from Heathrow and around 70 minutes from Gatwick to London City, depending on the time of the day and traffic conditions

Q14: Can I choose which chauffeur to drive which car?
A14: Yes, you may choose your preferred chauffeur and car, subject to availability.

Q15: Can I request to be notified when the car arrives at the pick up address?
A15: Yes, our office will always inform you of the car arrival by telephone.

Q16: What if I do miss my chauffeur for some reason?
A16: Please telephone our office, we will arrange for the chauffeur to come to you.

Q17: Can I order a car for a short journey?
A17: Yes. Our minimum charges will then apply.

Q18: Can I order a car to take me to a restaurant or theatre and a separate order to take me back?
A18: Yes, but if you decide to leave your belongings in the car, the whole journey will be charged as one booking which will incur waiting time charges, as that car could not be used for any other bookings meanwhile.

Q19: My guests speak only Japanese.
A19: We have our Japanese-speaking customer service officers who will be able to assist your guests.

Q20: My guests wish to have a Japanese-speaking assistant during their stay in the U.K.
A20: You may either have a JSA from our office, or we can arrange for a blue badge Japanese-speaking tour guide.

Q21: Are you fully insured to carry passengers?
A21: Yes. We are covered by one of the most renowned insurance for what is known as "Hire or Reward". This means we are insured to carry paying passengers.

Q22: Can I obtain a copy of your valid insurance certificate?

Q23: Is Japan UK Chauffeurs a registered company authorised to trade?
A23: Yes, you may obtain details of our company registration from the Companies House, authorisation from the PCO and 5 stars grading by the GPHC .

Q24: How do I pay?
A24: You may pay using one of the following methods: With cash paid to the chauffeur who will inform you of the total fare including VAT. Receipt can be issued by the chauffeur upon request. By credit or debit card, a handling charge fee of 7.5% (min. £3.50) will be charged. By invoice; our Accounts Department will invoice your company with the fare including administration & service charge @14.5%

Q25: What if I want to make a suggestion, or a complaint?
A25: We pride ourselves in the excellence we offer to ALL our clients. Our office manager will be very pleased to assist you.
